What is SEIS?
SEIS, short for Special Education Information System, is a service that provides almost all the resources for ensuring a place for a child with special needs at a special education school. It not only allows you to access those resources for a minimal fee but also keeps track of every child that has gone through their system, thus guaranteeing an organized record of your kid for your benefit.
Registering for the SEIS program is simple, and logging into their SEIS.org website is easier still. Once you log in, a whole host of features will be at your disposal, right from IEP management to SIS integration.
How to Login in SEIS?
It is so easy to log in on the SEIS platform that anyone acquainted with the internet can get it done!
- Visit the official website of the venture – www.SEIS.org.
- Select the 3-bar drop-down menu at the top left corner of the homepage.
- Click the ‘Login’ option in it.
- Enter your username and password on the page that follows.
- Hit the ‘Login’ button to access your special resources!
For security purposes, you are not allowed to save your login information on the portal. If your browser prompts you to save, kindly reject the option. This may lead you to forget your password in the future, but there is a simple process to recover it.
- Click the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the beta SEIS login page.
- Type in your username in the box provided.
- A password recovery email will be sent to the email ID associated with that username.
- Open it and follow the instructions to reset your password.
If you haven’t registered your email ID with your account, then you will need to visit your nearest SEIS office to reset your password. And while you are there, do add an email ID to your account. It’s easier that way.
If you haven’t registered for the SEIS login yet, then unfortunately there is no online option to do so. You will have to visit the SEIS office to enroll yourself or your child to the program.
SEIS Short Review
The seis.org beta website does everything that it is supposed to do – provide information about special education in your region. You can craft a credible IEP (Individualized Education Program document), log your California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), track all the services that you have used so far, and merge your Student Information System (SIS) data with your SEIS database.
The only possible drawback in their system is the inability to register online. However, that is for the better because you can directly approach the authorities at the SEIS office to resolve all your queries during registration.
We are happy with the services provided by SEIS. They have a healthy social media presence on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. You can follow all their current and future developments on those platforms. But the one thing that we were pleasantly surprised with was their immense network reach.
Thousands of schools in California utilize their services on a daily basis. It’s a given since they cover the entire state except for a couple of regions on the west coast. And they are constantly updating their features and making useful upgrades to their system, which coerces us to give them a superb 5/5 rating!
